Toshiba A100-700 laptop screen
I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba A100-700. When I start, the screen goes black. I have connected an external monitor to the VGA output of the laptop and it works very well. I do not think it is due to the backlight because I see the lights turn on at the bottom of the screen.
I tried removing RAM strips: the screen starts working but only 2 times. My PC is now out of warranty for 2 months. I do not know what to do. Could you advice me?

If your pc is no longer under warranty, you can disassemble a bit to put the wire between the motherboard of the laptop and the screen because it seems to me it is due to poor contact.
Re: Toshiba A100-700 laptop screen
So you mean to say that your laptop screen suddenly started displaying nothing but black black. First thing to do, look closer, you may see a very dark what is shown on your LCD. A simple way to know if that's right is to put a lamp behind the cover of the screen you should see a minimum.
Anyway, given that it works with an external display, the diagnosis is simple, you do not have backlighting. The failure may come from two places. Either the CRT (which is inside the screen) or the power supply unit.
Best regards.

It seems to me a hardware problem at the level of the BIOS. Update your BIOS to the most recent version (go on the Toshiba website for the latest one). Go in the power options in Windows and under MINIMUM PROCESSOR STATE change both the on battery and plugged in percentages from 5% to 100%. Now click APPLYand restart.
