Windows 7 64-bit RC installation problems
Hello everyone,
I have a problem that happens when you install (tried several times same results) the RC of Windows 7 64-bit on my PC. I lose my keyboard and my mouse during the stage of decompression of files. This is the stage where we see the points with the percentage. Since I lose my keyboard and mouse, installation hangs and I can not go further. I'm stuck and I do not know what to do. My PC has the necessary configuration to Windows 7. I have an Asus P5Q-E.
Re: Windows 7 64-bit RC installation problems
Is it a USB mouse and keyboard? Test with a keyboard and mouse that is a PS/2 connector.
Re: Windows 7 64-bit RC installation problems
Yes it is a keyboard and a wired USB mouse.
Keyboard: BenQ x120 Internet Keyboard Pro
Mouse: Wheel Mouse Optical 1.1A USB/PS2 Microsoft
I wondered if the problem was the USB controller.
Or if there is something to do in the BIOS.
In the BIOS, the USB controllers are enabled in 2.0 and HiSpeed. As the plug-in play. I can see 2 (keyboard and mouse) devices that are detected. But the problem occurs during the installation of Windows 7.
The pink arrow indicates the port where I plug in USB keyboard and mouse-the red arrow indicates the PS2 port where I can plug either the keyboard or mouse. As you can see, my motherboard may not have the keyboard and mouse PS2 connection support at the same time. It's one or the other.

Re: Windows 7 64-bit RC installation problems
Have you tried to redownload the Windows 7 RC 64-Bit again cause it seems to be a bad copy hanging at the installation screen. If it is a bad copy then you can recheck it by looking at its size and comparing it with the ISO available for download at microsoft.
