I installed the 2009 version of Kaspersky and i can't able to update it. i have the license copy, when i try to update it i get the message "error connecting to update source".I searched the net but I can not find a solution.Any help will be extremely appreciated.
You can try finding the update files for Kaspersky 2009 from the kaspersky website. After finding the right definition file for your version, download it. You can go to the update options in Kaspersky 2009 wizard and set it to update from file.

Uninstall Kaspersky Go To Start>Settings>Control Panel>ADD OR Remove Program>Kaspersky Then Restart you Computer, then install again Kaspersky version that your using.(Kaspersky 2009)
There are several potential explanations. First maybe your subscription may have expired and it is the probably the most common reason for not connecting. usually error of the kind occurs if the address of the update source is set incorrectly.In the update settings check the update source address for correctness. To check if the address is correct, enter it in the Internet Explorer’s address line.Second maybe that the download server is down or there is allot of demand on it. If you have tried over a few days and the issue has not resolved itself then this is not the reason. Third option maybe there is a newer software version is available that points to a new server but you have not installed it. It may be worth going to Kaspersky site to see if there is a new version that you need to download from their site or if there is a patch that fixes it.
