Access Google calendar when Offline
Google Calendar may be a handy tool for keeping track of upcoming appointments because you can open it from any web browser.but what if you can access even when you are offline and right from your desktop ?System tray application GMinder gives you quick offline display of multiple Google Calendars and even alerts you of upcoming appointments.
This is a program that waits in your system tray and alerts you when you have an upcoming Google Calendar event. GMinder supports multiple calendars and allows you to configure how you want to be alerted. All that is necessary is entering your Google user name and password, then GMinder will download your calendar details. You can set how often it refreshed details from Google, and how many days it will pre-load too. Events are color coded by time and you can configure this to your tastes, as well as set a sound to accompany any alert.

GMinder is quick to set up. You provide your Google username and password and click a Download button, and it displays a list of your calendars. You can de-select any you don't want it to pull down. You can select the event which you want to be displayed. You can also add a new event, delete an event or be alerted on an upcoming event.Click the check boxes next to the ones you want to see. You can also assign each calendar a color to make it easy to tell which calendar each appointment is linked with.
The ability to quickly check upcoming events without going to your browser, and being able to snooze on your reminders, more than outweighs a somewhat clunky reminder window.
Re: Access Google calendar when Offline
Gminder downloads your events, it works offline and enables you to preview your agenda of events. New events can be added to your Google Calendars using a Quick Add feature. You need to have Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework installed for the application to work. You don’t have it installed, “The setup requires the .NET Framework version 2.0.
Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again”.The application sits in the system tray. Double clicking opens a window with your calendar plus some buttons (like a snooze button) and a single click will give you a small pop-up with today's events.
Re: Access Google calendar when Offline
GMinder will by default display a pop-up alert window and play a sound 15 minutes before each event. You can hit a Snooze button to snooze an event's reminder for a set number of minutes, which is a neat feature not otherwise available for Google Calendar.
features:-
- Double-click the tray icon to see the reminder window.
- Click on an event to see its details and press the delete key to remove it.
- New - Create a new event

Re: Access Google calendar when Offline
The program is very useful. But It does not offer proxy settings for Internet connections. When logging in via a proxy, it throws exceptions.
