Ubuntu 9.04 Live Cd not working
Hey Guys!
I've recently donwloaded Ubuntu 9.04 Live CD and burnt it to a CD. When i boot from CD it is too slow and i haven't yet succeeded in getting the Live CD to load fully. I don't get any error. So i decided to install and try it out. But when i select install option it will say loading files and stick on 60%. I cannot get past it. Now i have no OS on that computer. I desperately wanted to try the new Ubuntu. Is this a problem with Ubuntu? Has anyone had similar problems!? Help Guys! Thanks.
Re: Ubuntu 9.04 Live Cd not working
Hey!
I think that the CD might be at the problem. You might have not successfully burnt the CD. I would suggest you to use a CD-R and not a re-writable cd. Burn the image at lower speed and check if you still get the same problem? Well this might be the issue of incorrect burning of CD. All the best! Post back what happens.
Re: Ubuntu 9.04 Live Cd not working
Hey!
Thanks for that quick reply. But i have already wasted four CD-R and it doesn't seem the problem is with the CDs. I tried to burn the ISO with many softwares but nothing seems to help. I changed my DVD-Writter and tried to burn the image from my new computer, but this didn't help too. Is there something wrong with the Ubuntu 9.04 built? As on of my friend is facing the same problem as mine; the difference is the loading goes till 65% with his CD while from my cd it loads till 60% only. Help Guys!

Hey!
Did you try to burn other ISO images? Do you get the same problem? I suggets you to download the Ubuntu 9.04 ISO again and before burning it, verify the MD5 Checksum that is provide with it. Its the issue of corupt or invalid ISO download. Try this and post back. All the best...
