It's fine to place a subwoofer on the ground
Hello Friend,
Recent i had bought a 5.1 Creative Sound System. The problem is that the subwoofer of this system are very huge in size and i don't have much space on my desk to keep the huge subwoofer on it. So, i would like to know that it's fine to place my huge subwoofer on the ground. Will it affect the sound quality of the system? Can any body tell me that whether i can palce or not the subwoofer on the ground? Kindly provide me the solution for the above problem.
Thanks a lot.
Re: It's fine to place a subwoofer on the ground
Are your subwoofer so much heavy in size? If not them you can buy out a sheet of sorbothane. Then try to cut in order to fit under the feet of the subwoofer. Sorbothane converts vibration into heat, and it will keep your sub stable and prevent vibrations from travelling into the floor.

If its huge in size then try to keep it on the floor. It is best to keep your sub woofer on the ground on a dampening board. Dampening board will help you to eliminate the vibration in order to gain a loud sound.

Dampening board eliminate vibration which can cause it to be reproduced sound like echo.
