Partition of hard drive in xbox 360
I would like to delete a partition on the hard drive of my 360 box. It is a disk 20 gigas. The partition that I want to delete the second one which serves emulator games for the first xbox. I managed to connect my HDD to sata port of my pc, I explore with my 20 gigas xbox explorer, but since I do not know what to do, to remove this partition 6 gigas to operate the 20 gigs of my hard drive xbox 360.
Thank you for your help.
Re: Partition of hard drive in xbox 360
If you do that your hard disk will be usable by the console.
You will have all wins in history. The 7 GB partition is not only for backwards compatibility:no:
If you want more space then you need to change hard drive, by buying the (expensive) disk Official MS .. either tweak a bit

I could delete that partition would be ideal for me.
Are you sure that the partition 6 gigas used for anything other than the emulator for xbox 1. I understood that it was partition 1 which was used to profile and all that goes with it.
For info, I already tried to delete the files in the partition 2, but no gain of space and especially the hard drive is still running on the box once these files deleted.
Re: Partition of hard drive in xbox 360
The Xbox 360 system reserves approximately 6 GB of space for the following:
- Approximately 4 GB is reserved for game title caching and for other hard drive-specific game elements for games that support the use of the Xbox Hard Drive.
- Approximately 2 GB is reserved for use by the Xbox 360 backwards-compatibility software that allows you to play older Xbox titles on the Xbox 360 console.
