Re: Moniter / GFX Card Issue
May be it is not wrong with the GFX card both sometime due to uneven shutdown it get a push out from the circuit. So be relaxed & enjoy your computing. But if it happens again then ask your vender to check it. If you have took the annual maintenance then caller your engg. to just look at it for your satisfaction.
Re: Monitor / GFX Card Issue
Well, with the sudden power cutoff when the computer the applications are running, there are many weird things you might experience on getting power back on. The computer system tries to retain the files with the recovery process, some unsaved files are likely to disappear, the current applications running tend to face some of the unexpected problem. Don't Worry !! Just relax....Your GFX card is perfect, no problem at all. Whatever you did was right and worked well to fix the issue....
Re: Moniter / GFX Card Issue
Wow I feel like a complete idiot because I realize I worded that completely wrong.
I meant to say that I had to take out the pci e card and use the on-board gfx card.
The PCI E one won't work if its in and plugged into the monitor. Computer will come on fine, but the monitor won't display.
Sorry about the confusion. ><
