How can i redirect my Domain to a dynamic home IP
Hey Folks,
I'm planning to host my website from my computer. I have a domain that I would like to use it for that website. I'm running Windows Server 2003 on my system. So, i would like to know that how do i link both of them together to make my domain point as my server. Does any body knows about it how can i do so? Kindly provide me the correct logical steps for the above issue. Any help on the above issue would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Just check out your DynDNS.org. You can use their free service to set up a free domain name that will redirect to your home and the client application they provide ensures that you have the updated IP.

You can try to change WHS to support a different Dynamic DNS service. But i think you probably won't be able to easily get it to update your hosted DNS server, because dynamic DNS uses a different set of protocols to do it's updates. So, if you feel to take some risk, then you can check out registry key on your WHS machine:HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\Dynamic DNS Service

I think you just need a CNAME record for ssh.mydomain.com as your IP.
