Core i7 920 mounting problem on P6T
I have a big problem to mount my CPU Core i7 920 on my Asus P6T motherboard. In fact, when I put the processor on the socket, holding the box closes more.
The 2 small picos on the side of the retention package coming to land on the side of the block processor. It looks like the processor is too high for the housing retention
However, the carefree processor returned and checked 10 times the direction (small triangles in the upper right)
Does someone had the same problem? Is this a fault of my motherboard?

The only advice is "watch what your processor then the socket". You can not deceive because the lamp and form. The processor should be fully fit then put the lid holding

I checked it. I finally succeeded in forcing but nothing. Now I turn on the PC then once in the home screen with the BIOS. I think that it is not dead?
No abnormal beep, beep just a start as a classical. I'm good to return processor and motherboard?

You're not like a camera to give us a nice photo? The contacts of socket/processor are indeed faulty. If it was dead, I think it will turn on and would probably go until bios.

I disassembled everything and I will run the cooling-off periods to return products. I understand why I had this problem. Do you think it might be a defect in the motherboard? So I hesitate to buy the same. I should be passing on a Gigabyte. Nobody had this problem during installation?
