hey friends,
We all know that Microsoft Excel allows us to add graphics and pictures to our worksheets. I was wondering if I can create and add macro to the graphics such that whenever I click on the graphic, the respective macro is executed and performs the required action. My question is how can I assign the macro to the graphics ?
plz help.....thanks
Re: How to assign macros to graphics ?
To assign a macro to a graphic, follow these steps:
- Right-click on the graphic - Excel displays a Context menu.
- Select the Assign Macro option from the Context menu - Excel displays the Assign Macro dialog box.
- Select the macro you want associated with the graphic.
- Click on OK.
Save your workbook and test out your assignment by clicking on the graphic. The macro should run, as desired.

With macros, you can do lots of things....once the macro is created, you can assign an existing macro to a menu item, toolbar button, graphics (and pictures) or also keyboard shortcut.
