Windows Genuine Advantage question
Hi I have SP2 and i am going to do a fresh install of SP3 (slipstreamed into SP2) version. Since SP3 will already have WGA Validation will the WGA Patcher Permanent Kit be of any use for SP3.
1. Perhaps i can use the key it generates during the setup
2. Or i can patch it after the setup is complete.
Which procedure should i follow???
Re: Windows Genuine Advantage question
May be of use just keep it. I will recommend to to patch it after the setup is complete if required. other wise in future if using net may surely require it.
Re: Windows Genuine Advantage question
You should really not worry about the SP3 If you have a legal copy of Windows XP. because Any updates now would require the Genuine Advantage Verification.
Re: Windows Genuine Advantage question
Since Service Pack 3 already has WGA Validation, I don't think there is any need for WGA Patcher Permanent Kit. However, you can patch it up using the key during thse setup itself.
Re: Windows Genuine Advantage question
i do not have the original version of XP...therefore i need to remove WGA else it will keep nagging me.... :(
