Can't send music with an email
Hello Friends,
I'm having Yahoo account to access my emails on the internet. The problem is that i'm trying to send some music by an email. The song is in the cd and its not a copyright recording. The problem is that when i try to attach the file from the CD to the email, it doesn't get played in Windows Media Player neither on Real Player. The size of the song is upto 4.00kb. Can any body tell me that why i'm having such problem on my system? Does any body knows about this issue? Kindly help me out to resolve the above problem.
Thanks a lot.
Re: Can't send music with an email
YES, you can send music with an email, it's called a greeting card. If that can be done then your music with an email can be done, you just have to find the right web based email provider so stop asking for directions when you have a map.
Re: Can't send music with an email
Compress each track and send track by track. If this is your own work you could post to a website & make it downloadable or if not you could just mail them the CD snailmail.
Re: Can't send music with an email
On your email, click on attachment, and a list of your files will come up.
Find your music, click on that, find your song or music, CLICK on the piece you want, and you will see the name of the song or tune in a box, double click on that, and it arrives on the page at the bottom of your email. Don't worry if you get it wrong, at the side of ATTACH , is DETACH, click on that and the music is removed, and you can start again if you wish.
On mine, if I double click on the name of the song on the email, the music will play, so you can test it. When you click on , SEND, on your email it then starts loading your music file, and it will shoot off to its destination.
Hope so it may help you to resolve your problem.:thumbup1:
Re: Can't send music with an email
First, no song can get as small as 4kb unless it is just a few seconds long :rofl_2: , a normal MP3 is anywhere from 400kb to 2000kb. And second of all, you should rip the song(s) to your Windows Media Player. Go to your RIP options and change the download file location to a file you can easily access from your desktop or like you music folder. Then what you need to do is upload your song as an attachment. I hate to break it to ya, but if you are using a web based e-mail client not from your ISP than you have limited bandwidth. That means you can only send a certain size of files, there is a limit to how much data you can send at once. Like me though, I use to us AT&T and they set me up with AT&T Yahoo! with unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage space, and Outlook Express + Web base e-mail.
