(uxsms) error in Windows Vista
Hello Friends,
I''m running Windows Vista as my operating system. The problem is that whenever i try to work on my pc, i get an error message stating that desktop window manager (uxsms) service required for running the following function. Can any body tell me that how do i get rid of the above issue? Does any body have any idea about the above issue? Any kind of information on the above issue would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Try refreshing your Windows Experience Index (WEI) rating.
1. Click Start
2. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, hit enter
3. Click the Update my score link
4. Click Continue on the User Account Control dialog
After you have done that, Right click your Desktop--> click Personalize-->Click Theme--> Click in the Theme list box, select Windows.

In order to receive the best support, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool from the Microsoft official website. Click "Continue" click the Windows tab, click the "Copy" button, then paste the report into a response message in this thread.
If you do not have access to the Start Button:
1) Login to Vista and Click the option that brings up Internet Explorer.
2) Type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 into the browser address bar.
3) A window will come up asking if you want to Run or Save, Select Run.
4) When the program runs, Click the Continue button, then click the Copy button.
5) Return to this thread by Typing: http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/...5258&SiteID=25 into the browser address bar.
Re: (uxsms) error in Windows Vista
Make sure these two registry entries are set:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\Co... set to 1 (32-bit DWORD)
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\Co... set to 2 (32-bit DWORD)
Quote:
restart usxms by typing:
net stop usxms
net start usxms
If it fails then it might be the problem with your driver.
