Restrict ability to Create a system image
I work on Windows 7 in my office. Many of my colleagues use to come and access my computers. So due to security reason i need to restrict the ability to Create a system image in my computer that is windows 7.
Please let me know how can i do the same ?
Re: Restrict ability to Create a system image
You can do it easily with Local Group Policy Editor. To do so, just follow this steps:-
1. Open the Start menu, and type gpedit.msc in the search line and press Enter.
2. If prompted by UAC, click on Yes.
3. In the left pane, click on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Backup, and Client.
4. In the right pane, right click on Turn off the ability to create a system image and click on Edit.
5. Select the check box 'Enabled'.
6. Click on OK.
7. Close the Local Group Policy Editor window.
Thats it...
Re: Restrict ability to Create a system image
You can make it enable again in future by selecting the check box 'Not Configured or Disabled' after clicking on Edit under "Turn off the ability to create a system image".
