I am new to Microsoft windows 7. I want to add some Libraries icon in my system. Could any one of you can make me know how to add or remove libraries desktop icon in Windows 7 ?
Here is the simple way to do so:-
- For adding the Libraries Desktop Icon, you need to Download Add_Libraries_Desktop_Icon.zip.
- Click Save to save the file .zip to the desktop.
- Now drag the .reg file to the desktop from .zip file.
- Right click the .reg and click Merge.
- Now click Run, Yes and OK.
- Then right click the bare space of the desktop and click Refresh.
- Now if you want to remove or delete the same,
- Download Remove_Libraries_Desktop_Icon.zip.
- Click Save to save the file .zip to the desktop.
- Now drag the .reg file to the desktop from .zip file.
- Right click the .reg and click Merge.
- Now click Run, Yes and OK.
- Then right click the bare space of the desktop and click Refresh.
- After all this, you can delete or preserve the .zip and .reg files.
If you just want to remove the libraries desktop icon, you can even remove it by adding this simple registry key.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel]

Open windows explorer,
Left click and drag the main Libraries icon onto the desktop
