The good Oldies
If sometimes looked back at the old games, some known, others are unknown, then the game dare to try something new (which might not always go well)
Red factions:
It was a game that dared to try something new, ok, classic FPS but with a dispute, but can destroy walls.
I believe not only that the wall will disappear, but making a hole for a time beside, you can throw bombs on the floor and make a hole that we can make deeper and deeper.
Even in multiplayer with my friend, I dug 5 meters into a wall and lay mines, knowing that he would climb in there to do something similar.
Unreal Tournament:
In my eyes rewritten Unreal Tournament rules for FPS games, with a patchwork of 'modes' (called 'Mutators') could turn the game around all the time (as 'Fat Man' where he had as many kills were thicker and easier to hit him while with the fewest kills with the thins).
The speed was also radically different than other games (it is increasingly dominated action and adrenaline pumping than many of today's games)
Place brains in soft times and make suggestions for other good old forgotten games.

Re: The good Oldies
Humm.. okay game that was forgotten:
Gobal Operations:
In the beginning, you are good, which must save hostages, destroy weapons and kill terrorist leaders, there are 20 missions, then you can try to be terrorists, it is the same missions just from another angle, if you can say it good.
and Unreal Tournament is not forgotten? The new version is just over 1 year old

Re: The good Oldies
Tyrian!
There was a small spaceship and could then have a variety of powerups that you shoot more than 1 shot at a time.
There were all kinds of enemy ships to be shot, and after some time in each course, a boss.
It was bloody times when I played the "sniff"

Delta Force
Recently played as a soldier would perform various missions like killing terrorists and prevent people from sending aircraft out of drugs and various other things.
I thought that it went to be forgotten but I still remember when I played it.
At that time was much better (in my thinking). Miss it a little so they could take to create a new :(

Tetris
Chosen as all-time best video games - several times!
The game assumes that you can manage some bricks from the sky to the right / left and can rotate them and you must fill the space below you out so good you can.
It is made in numerous editions and all should know it.

Re: The good Oldies
Settlers 2
It really made me interested in the RTS genre! It was very primitive in comparison to many modern games, but interesting where I have spent many hours / days / weeks on it!
