Compatibility of mac os, ILife 7 with Sanyo Camcorder
Hello,
I have a PowerBook G4 (version 10.4.11, 1.67 GHz, 512 MB) which is always ILife 7 (the one that preceded Ilife 8).
I wonder if I can play video files MPEC 4 AVC / H. I have found a camcorder Sanyo Xacti HD 700 but I'm afraid of not being able to play videos, which would be for a camcorder ennuyeu ... Do I in general do a cross on the HD camcorder?
I Ilife 8 but I would not install that to run my Mac is iVideo it seems not powerful enough.
Could someone tell me what he thinks about these points.
My Mac runs very well but I am more afraid of having bought too early, or 6 months before the release of Mac with Intel chips ...
Thank you in advance
Re: Compatibility of mac os, ILife 7 with Sanyo Camcorder
"ilife 7" is not compatible with this format and ilife 8 (actually imovie 8 n
al origin not compatible with Power PC processor)
but if it is to read just jute your films, it may be possible to import on your hard drive and use vlc (for example) to read your sequences ...
after, there are probably software conversion that will transform your file to make it compatible with your version of imovie but there will be loss of quality
I hope to have answered your request ..
Re: Compatibility of mac os, ILife 7 with Sanyo Camcorder
no (except that you're going a little slow Films in 720p, for example)
if you can not read the file with your version of QT (I myself tart mix brushes with different versions, in addition to differing architectures ...)
utilizes the software MovieConverter (the application is shareware but the HD conversion module is free). I tested the Sanyo Xacti HD 700, no problem
my app is PPC and Tiger compatible, therefore you can mount the converted files in your iMovieHD
Stabilization tripant but not the image of this cam is nice (does not even have the Toshiba Camileo the worst images I have ever seen
Re: Compatibility of mac os, ILife 7 with Sanyo Camcorder
just a clarification on iLife'08:
- Its iMovie is incompatible with your bike
- IDVD is its very poor quality with some files (the interlaced) compared to the version you have (but with the Sanyo on s'en fiche un peu)
- By better against iPhoto
therefore installer (contextual menu "Show Package Contents" for example) and as iPhoto does avoiding the rest
