Send to Simply Not There!
 I reinstalled XP and "Send To" has disappeared from File Explorer. I've even checked and there are a few destinations in the folder. I can hardly function without good old "Send To" (another reason to avoid Vista for now). Does anyone know what happened to me?
Re: Sendto Simply Not There!
Try This ..
Start > Run > Regsvr32 /i Shell32.dll
You Should Get a Message Box Like This
---------------------------
RegSvr32
---------------------------
DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in Shell32.dll succeeded.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Re: Sendto Simply Not There!
If the above method does not work for you, try this registry entry given below :
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{7BA4C740-9E81-11CF-99D3-00AA004AE837}\InProcServer32]
@=”C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM\\SHDOCVW.DLL”
“ThreadingModel”=”Apartment”
- Copy the text above and paste it into empty new notepad
- Save the file as .reg file
- Double-click on the file to merge it into windows registry.
I hope the solution provided above will help you fix the problem.
Re: Sendto Simply Not There!
Adding new locations and programs and taking away existing ones that you never use from this menu is very simple. It's easy to hack. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<log_in_name>\SendTo, where <log_in_name> is your username with which you login to your system. The folder will be filled with shortcuts to all the locations you find on your “Send To” context menu. To remove an item from the Send To menu, delete the shortcut from the folder. To add an item to the menu, add a shortcut to the folder by highlighting the folder, choosing File New Shortcut, and follow the instructions for creating a shortcut. The new setting will take
effect immediately.
