No image on Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard
I recently installed Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard with a 720 phenom x3, a Corsair power supply and 2 x 1GB 6400. (2 x 12, 2 x 2, cpu fan). The LED on the motherboard is on and the fan running.
Just like my old config I connected a cable from the power supply with 4 holes on something somewhere in my 4-pin motherboard (also on 3 of 4 to start), while I tried it started giving flames, so I immediately removed AC and the PC starts up anyway, but no picture!
I hope its a problem of bios not updated for the trial, what do you think?
Re: No image on Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard
See the page 1-37 of the ASUS motherboard manual. Do not forget 4-pin 12v ... will not boot up.
By against, it does not smoke, nor to divert 3 pin, 4-pin
Re: No image on Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard
I have the exception of 3 pin fan to 4 pin cpu, hence the 4-hole of the power supply that is normally on the power fan a 3 pin? I'm afraid to review the smoke ...
Re: No image on Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard
If that's what, I think you should stop the damage and make up your pc someone who does not start in the assembly.
I think you have an arrival plugs current motherboard (to power a fan) on arrival of the current power supply (to power a floppy drive). is obviously suicidal.
by against if you want to insist (and you do not kill the motherboard) read the entire manual, all connections as described.
Re: No image on Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard
There is nothing on the pwr fan, the cpu fan and chassis fan each being occupied and functional.
Re: No image on Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ motherboard
unless you want to put an extra fan. normally, the fan on your power supply is managed through the power supply itself, the assembly will be good like that (whether you have good plugs both connectors motherboard power supply: 24 pin and 4 pin 12V)
