Motherboard Eats too much Battery
Hey Guys!
I have bought a new PC and installed Windows XP SP3. Well my motherboard is a battery eating monster.. Always i need to set the bios clock and other bios settings. I tried to monitor the Bios settings with FanSpeed. It would show the battery supply at 3.05 v to 3.10 v constant but then after few hours the voltage would drop down to 1.45v to 1.55v. Can anone help me..! Thanks!
Re: Motherboard Eats too much Battery
Hey!
Well it seems that your battery has become too old..! Why don't try putting a new battery...! Have you been overclocking? Processor and Motherboard being overclocked eats a whole lot of power, but this is not valid for the battery power i guess...! But its a machine you never know....! All the best...!

Hey!
I would suggest that you check that you are using the correct type of battery for the Motherboard. There are many coin batteries the same size but specifications differ a lot. Check your motherboard manual for the battery being used is of correct type..! All the best...!

Hey!
I suspect that the battery power is draining...! Did you open up your cabinet and tried to play around with some jumpers and DIPs? Well i guess you did...! Now open up the cabinet and check that there are no open wires and leads that are shorting anywhere...! All the best..! Try not to fiddle with something you are not sure about, or take some guidance...! All the best...!
