Hey Guys!
I have AVG 8 installed on my Windows 7. Everything was fine untill recently AVG 8 stopped downloading updates. Everytime i try to update AVG it shows me updates. When i click on the update it will try to connect to the site and will fail to download saying internet connection error...! Can anyone help me..! Thanks!

I have the same version, and occasionally the same problem. I used to think it was my connection, but I guess, hearing your question, that it isn't. Does it go to the downloading files now screen then just sit there? If so, try just leaving it for a few hours then trying again. This has worked for me on at least five or six occasions. I too have a similar problem. After i secured my wireless network my avg won't update and then i reinstalled it. then tried it again still says connection failed even thou my laptop still connected to the wireless network. I also tried pc tools and results are still same... Can anyone help..! Thanks!

Something has corrupted your CTF files and the following should remove them so new copies can be downloaded. You must be logged into the system as a computer administrator when you create and run the following file. Using NOTEPAD create a file named ResetCTF.cmd and copy/paste the following two lines in it... Then save the file to a location of your choice.
