Browser slowing down gradually
Yes, all of a sudden from one day to another, I think my browser was just going slower. I use Internet Explorer, and is not going to change!
Can there be a special reason? Is it because I play on the desktop? Too many programs installed? - I think not, but just want to have every opportunity ahead.
Thank you in advance.
Re: Browser slowing down gradually
Internet Explorer caches web pages you visit and cookies coming from those pages. While designed to speed up browsing, if left unchecked the burgeoning folders can sometimes slow IE to a crawl or cause other unexpected behavior. In general, the less is more principal works well here - keep the Internet Explorer cache small and clear it often.
Re: Browser slowing down gradually
Internet Explorer is used less and less because of the many flaws with how the program is designed. Although Internet Explorer 7 has been a revelation compared to its past, Internet Explorer is still a "headache" to many users, forcing them to choose other web browsers instead, such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari.
Re: Browser slowing down gradually
IE 7 has numerous flaws in their just now identifying, one of which is a memory leak. This causes IE 7 to run slower and slower and slower the longer you have it on. If you're unable to open more than one tab at a time it's been caused by an add-on.
Re: Browser slowing down gradually
When the browser’s cache gets too full it can slow Internet Explorer down.
Try the following steps :
- Launch Internet Explorer
- Click on ‘Tools’
- Select ‘Internet Options’
- Click on ‘Delete Cookies’, and ‘OK’ in the confirmation box.
- Click on ‘Delete Files’, put a check mark for ‘Delete all offline content’ in the confirmation box and click on ‘OK’
- Close and relaunch Internet Explorer
Turn off your PC and modem (by cutting off the power supply) for 30 seconds and restart your modem. Wait for the lights to go steady and turn on your PC.
If there is no significant improvement in the speed of your broadband connection, contact your provider and have them reset the port and / or troubleshoot for slow-speed issues. Alternately, if all else fails, switch to another browser like Firefox.
All the best!
