For some time I have some small problems with my downloads via bittorent. This is my flashget gene. Before when I clicked on a torrent link, BitComet opened my software alone and added the file. Now it opens flashget instead of the torrent client software and sometimes can not retrieve the file. I hope someone can help me because I wish I could use it before I used to. And without necessarily remove Flashget .. Thank you in advance
just open your bittorent client to reassociate the torrent files to your default client. You can also associate the .torrent files from your Bitcomet software.
Flashget is more of a download manager than a BT client. It's not really related with P2P.
Disadvantages:
- Some labelled it as spyware
- Ads
- Doesn't run on Linux or Mac
- Private trackers on BT don't really favor it....
by all means use it if you like it for BT...but I personally wouldn't use it for BT. it doesn't give me as many functions as Azuerus does.
If you're getting slower speeds on Azureus, it could probably be your client setup...etc.

There's several things you have to uncheck in FlashGet before it doesn't take over torrent downloads. Or try setting uTorrent in Firefox.
Tools> Options > Applications > TORRENT File > uTorrent.
