Thanks for the help Janairo but it is not asking me for passwords so I don’t think the link provided above will help me in anyway. I thought the problem would be somewhere related to Symantec's Endpoint Protection Manager software. Now though I uninstalled it, still the problem exists.
Any other help please?

I’ve faced the problem recently on my SBS 2003 after performing Windows update. While searching for help, I came through the following thread http://groups.google.com/group/micro...1089c3a302fcb4 which helped me to solve the problems. See if it helps you too.
