Asus P5K-E WIFI/AP & E6750 @ 3400Mhz
I have the configuration in question and I brought in a stable 3400mhz. Temperatures after 9h of Prime95 or orthos came up to a max of 70° and remained so. (Idel 35° -38°)
I wanted to know if you can keep the proceedings as risk or something?
Or we should change the original intel heatsink and put another cooler that give better and more silent?
Re: Asus P5K-E WIFI/AP & E6750 @ 3400Mhz
It may cause risk over time but maybe the change said.. it would be a good thing to improve the MOVEMENT of air in the cabinet.
The temperature seems to be dangerous! I strongly advice the replacement of cooler. That stock is not fit to overclock.
Re: Asus P5K-E WIFI/AP & E6750 @ 3400Mhz
Excellent!
Some advice for the heatsink? Obviously, economic and most likely will be to try to find in flea markets around the web.
PS: The mutual has come up to 3600mhz but it was not quite stable.
Re: Asus P5K-E WIFI/AP & E6750 @ 3400Mhz
Temperatures of 70° C ok... but for what? Of individual cores or the cpu? Because if the temp of the cpu, it would be better not to exceed 65° C, if that is the core, you're still just inside the limits. However, summer is approaching with its 10° C over the ambient temperature compared to now... to the heatsink, as the overclock is contagious and once used it is difficult to get off the frequency say that something big would harm. A good price you could take
arctic cooling freezer extreme on 26/28euro+
S1283 HDT xigmatek about 33euro+
lead to a drastic fall in temperatures
Edit, first to take them into consideration, tell us the model of the cabinet or at least the width... dissipation are high and do not enter in all cabinets.
Re: Asus P5K-E WIFI/AP & E6750 @ 3400Mhz
Thank you again for the current and future interventions.
The temperatures are the two cores.
Tjmax from core temp gives me 95.
vid: 1.3250 v
vCore: if no bad memory 1.350 / 1.360 V
FSBSTRAP to 400MHz
ratio fsb: ram -> 3:4
425mhz * 8 = 3400mhz
Then should that still stay calm by showing that the core temp.
I have no clue of how to see, where I might be able to identify the name / model?
xigmatek HDT S1283! (intended size and height)
arctic cooling freezer extreme -> beautiful little too
freezer 7 pro -> I feel content in the size
I think we will opt for the last (but this is what you call mountains?)
Above with the stock heatsink I have space, not in front of the mutual, I can not give you precise numbers.
Re: Asus P5K-E WIFI/AP & E6750 @ 3400Mhz
In doubt about the width of the case, go to the freezer 7pro, better than the stock heatsink, it will keep the cpu at temperatures much safer.
PS. If the ram is at 800MHz, you're already with freq beyond the specifications (850MHz), it will be hard pushed.
