Hey Guys!
I have been working with windows only machines till date... Well i tried the LiveCD version of Kubuntu and i fell in love with it... But there was some problem with some of the icons. I have heard that even mandriva is a better OS. While i'm confused which one to choose? Well even Kubuntu 9.04 RC will be out in a week or two. So what do you guys have to say? Shall i wait for the Kubuntu 9.06 RC or i shall install mandriva 9.04? Thanks for any advice..!

I suggest you go for Mandriva 2009. Its the most simple and user friendly Linux that i have ever used... Well i don't use linux because not all games run with wine...! And i don't prefer dual booting, why waste disk space? All the best...!

I suggest you wait for Kubuntu 9.04. This version is gonna be the best version of Kubuntu till date. It will include the supreme KDE 4.2 Desktop Environment.
