Re: Router changes won't work in Firefox
I think it is a virus that ataches to Firefox. I just remembered that when I tried to start Firefox early this morning, my firewall asked if I wanted to allow a temp file acces to the Internet. I denied access, and Firefox would not start. I just now delted all the temps from my Firewall list hoping that it would pop up again, but it hasn't.
Re: Router changes won't work in Firefox
The error 0xC0000005 is generated by an illegal "memory access violation". This can be caused by anything from faulty RAM, an incorrect/corrupt device driver, poorly written/updated software and more commonly under Windows XP Service pack 2, malware/adware installations.

Try to reset the Winsock file:
1. Click Start , type cmd in the Start Search text box, and then press ENTER.
2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:netsh winsock reset
3. Restart the computer.
Re: Router changes won't work in Firefox
Here are some things you might try:
- does the Windows Event Log display any additional information?
- try running Check Disk (chkdsk.exe /f) on your hard drives
- check to see if you have any beta software installed that might interfere
with your setup
Re: Router changes won't work in Firefox
1)uninstall firefox completely
2) Next run the cclener software and will clean any unwanted registries

3) Possibly you can run Malware bytes its good anti-malware software
