You also have an SLI-capable motherboard? If yes, then next solution:
If you enable or disable SLI, you need to always predict the old driver de-install and then re-install, but not forgotten in between always rebooting your PC.
Do you have the SLI bridge on it also?
Try reinstalling/updating your chipset drivers.How many processes are running?. If you are running RAID I do not recommend using any driver cleaner on your chipset. You run the risk of deleting your RAID setup and in turn screwing up the OS.
