Cooling kit for phenom II 940 system
For the system I have recently purchased and together have printed, I have no (good) case. At this moment is in a Thermaltake Suprano not satisfied with where I am.
I have done research and I have the mind of one and other. The following hardware (with stock cooling):
AMD Phenom 2 II 940 stock
Gigabyte MA790GP-DS4H
@ 1066 MHz OCZ Platinum 800 4-4-4-10
MSI 4830 cooling stock
Now I have in the past made mistakes before, so I'm quite reluctant.
Are there any potential problems or things I see on the head? Is the combination right, stupid, or should I change something that I for example, about the same amount can buy something better?
The budget is € 0, but because it still needs is about 150 euros .. because boxed + old Thermaltake case is worth nothing.
Thank you!

Cooler Master V8 is best for you You shouldn't have any problems installing it in your case. I have a stacker 830 case and also had a Hyper 212 installed. The V8 cooler fit with plenty of room to spare. It does seem to be slightly taller though and may pose a problem for anyone who has a side panel fan installed. I had to remove the swing out 4 x 120mm side panel fan thingy in order to fit both coolers.

Thermaltake Tsunami Dream VA3000SWA Case System
The case has that 80mm fan (according to an Xbit review), which are typically 25mm thick. Between that and the distance from the bottom of your HSF to the other side of the case, it might be a close shave.
Tsunami Dream =210mm
Coolermaster V8 = 161.1mm
80mm case fan = 25mm
diff = 210 - 161.1 - 25 = 23.9mm
I'd say you should be safe. Opposite side of case to top of CPU shouldn't be ~1 inch/~24mm. But, never hurts to measure.
Good luck.
