Gigabyte EP35 DS4 Overclock problem
Hi guys,
I have a Gigabyte EP35 DS4 with a Q6600 G0 2.4 Ghz. Because I have a lot in return I'm overclocking it to 3.2 or 3.6 Ghz. I have this CPU + RAM and the power to my previous MSI P35 board had 3.8 so it can be. My core 1 temp is 48 degrees stressed. Only with this new motherboard would not overclocking. I have found, had the Gigabyte forum Terw_Dan gave the correct settings for someone else. Since I see the good itself, but I think I do something wrong with the timings or the voltage of the motherboard.
There is also an option MCH where I do not really know where I need it to
Specs continue:
Zalman 500W
7200GS CLUB3D
2 GB DDR2 800 Mhz Corsair 5-5-5-12.
Thanks!
Re: Gigabyte EP35 DS4 Overclock problem
MCH (Memory Controller Hub), the NB (Northbridge) this voltage must usually up if you are running a high FSB (400MHz more than usually). FSB voltage can remain on Normal.
But first try just one small step for example a FSB of 333MHz and the multiplier just 9 3GHz so. With the CPU voltage at 1.4 volts and the voltage memory (DDR2 Over Voltage Control) to 0.2 need to make this work. Does not try an FSB of 333MHz and a multiplier of 6 voltage same as above.
Re: Gigabyte EP35 DS4 Overclock problem
it does not work. It is strange, as I only have the CPU Host Clock Control to Enable put nothing further change (he is just so standard) he would even boot. it hangs on the POST screen and then reboot, then state which option to Disable. Then boot it back.
