Re: Linksys router latency problem
hi,
If you can try it for a few days, just ethernet straight into your modem and see if you still have lag periods.
Re: Linksys router latency problem
It sounds like you have an interference problem, or a slow INTERNET service.
Can you tell me what speed your service provides?
Wireless speeds are slower than wired, and the Bandwidth is divided among the computers using the connection.Interference may come from
- The wireless network you where connected to.
- Fans.
- Light dimmer switches.
- Home appliances.
- Cordless phones.
- Garage door openers
- The list of electrical devices goes on.
Re: Linksys router latency problem
Use CAT 6 cables. Save configuration of your router. Reset it to default and reload the config file. Get the latest driver for your NIC. Have your ISP check your modem and connection for issues.
