Remote desktop in Windows 2008 server causes 60% CPU usage
Hey Guys!
I'm using windows 2008 Server Enterprise. When i connect to other computer at my place which has Windows XP Pro SP3 through Remote Desktop, my cpu usage rises to 60% and my machine becomes slow...! How do i make Remote dekstop to consume less CPU. Please help guys...! Thanks

Thanks for taking time to reply to my question. Well my System Configuration is :
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz
Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L Motherboard
2GB DDR2 RAM
160GB SATA HDD
Sparkle GeForce 8400GS PCIe Graphics Card
I use 100mbps D-Link switch with Cat 5e cables... Both machines are of the above configuration..! Thanks!

Hey!
I would suggest you to update LAN drivers first, as Windows 2008 doesn't take the drivers by default...! Well you could check if the switch is working properly...! Also check if the firewall settings are appropriate. Make sure not many programs are running in the background...! If necessary remove unwanted softwares from startup...! All the best...! If still any problem post back...!
