I have been using BSNL broadband connection of 2mbps since its introduction. As others, even I want to know the correct speed of my connection. Can any one help me in this matter? So far, I am known about following methods of identifying the speed.
1) BSNL DataONE Account Admin Page - Here you can get your speed details; you can perform Speed Test but I am unsure about how does it help in calculating the actual speed.
2) Using Modem
Well you can simply go to http://speedtest.dataone.in:83/bandw...itialmeter.php and test your BSNL broadband speed. You can even share your speed over here if you want :).

Hey searching for your problem I came across with this: http://forums.techarena.in/india-broadband/1084638.htm thread. According to it, you can use a Speed Tester (for link refer thread) which works for all broadband connections. I bet, this will help you too.

That seem to be great topic. But why don't you simply use something that is available online such as http://speedtest.net/. It is quiet famous and works in almost all the solutions.
