hi,
I have the collection of lots of movies that is stored in my computer. However, it's always fun and better to watch movies on the bigger screens. Hence, I need to write them on DVDs and then watch them on my 32"inch TV..
Can anyone suggest me which are the reliable blank CDs/DVDs providing companies? please give your suggestions...... thanks a lot

If you will purchase CDs and DVDs from the retail shop, you will be charged on the single piece....say around Rs 25-30 depending on the company.
If you will purchase from the main market, you will be benefitted say around Rs 20-25 for each DVD saving aound Rs 5 to 6 per piece.
If you will purchase in bulk say entire pack, you will be benefitted like anything say just Rs 15-18 saving around Rs 8-10 per piece.

How is Writex ? Is it better that Sony/Moser Baer ?
The writex and writevx subroutines are the same as the write and writev subroutines, respectively, with the addition of an Extension parameter, which is used when writing to some device drivers.
With regular files and devices capable of seeking, the actual writing of data proceeds from the position in the file indicated by the file pointer. Upon return from the write subroutine, the file pointer increments by the number of bytes actually written.
With devices incapable of seeking, writing always takes place starting at the current position. The value of a file pointer associated with such a device is undefined.

Bahh...writex is a low graded product dude...i mean its okay with its recording speed and all....bt it does scratch easily...once its scratched its impossible to read...i think one should go for buying a DVD depending on what kind of data he is writing on it.
I have to keep a lot of backups so i trust Moser Baer...its an old trusted company and their online shopping site is amazing as well...
Sony also is a good option as well...bt for online buying Moser Baer does a good job...
