Re: How to read linux partitions under windows
Hey!
When you boot from linux you can read windows partitions by mounting the windows partitions in linux as drives or my mounting it in a folder. But as per my knowledge linux partitions can't be mount under windows and hence it is not possible to read linux partitions under windows...!
Re: How to read linux partitions under windows
Hey!
You can do this :
- Use linux partitons solely for the OS
- Use windows partitons for OS
- Use FAT32 or NTFS partitions to save data
So this way you could use all the files in windows as well as data...! Just an option...!:whistling

Hey!
Guys, Nobody has heard about softwares like Explore2fs and others? Well let me give you a brief introduction :
Explore2fs
Explore2fs is a GUI explorer tool for accessing ext2 and ext3 filesystems. It runs under all versions of Windows and can read almost any ext2 and ext3 filesystem.
There are some other tools too...
Ext2 Installable File System
It provides Windows NT4.0/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008 with full access to Linux Ext2 volumes. This may be useful if you have installed both Windows and Linux as a dual boot environment on your computer.
The "Ext2 Installable File System for Windows" software is freeware.
If you currently have Windows running and you realize that you need some files for your work which you have stored on an Ext2 volume of your Linux installation, you no longer have to shut down Windows and boot Linux!
Furthermore, Windows will now be able to handle floppy disks which have been formatted with an Ext2 file system.
Linux Ext3 volumes can also be accessed.
Linux Reader
DiskInternals Linux Reader is a new easy way to get safe and quick access to alternative file systems. This program plays the role of a bridge between your Windows and Ext2/Ext3 Linux file systems. This easy-to-use tool runs under Windows and allows you to browse Ext2/Ext3 Linux file systems and extract files from there.
Before you ask me where to download those software, i'll provide the link :
