Installation problem with Metlab in Windows 7
Hi,
My colleagues have suggested for the Metlab installation on the windows 7 but I found problem after the installation process gets completed. When I tried to run the application however, it freezes at the opening screen. I think there was some problem with the Installation process with the Metlab Application. I will also provide you one more hint that it get stuck with the Matlab logo and the license information been displayed on the screen.
Please help..
Re: Installation problem with Metlab in Windows 7
I distribute directly the whole MCR directory created by the MCR Installer.
So when I deploy my application I give :
MCR
MyApplication
MyApplication.bat
And in MyApplication.bat which has to be run by the users set PATH=%cd%\MCR\<version>\runtime\win32;%PATH% cd MyApplication
MyApplication.exe
This way allows to install the application without admin privileges.

You will need to install ImageTcl first to use ImageTclAR.
These are executable distributions. It is recommended that these be installed in directories off c:\. While support for spaces in directories is included, the removal of all bugs cannot be guaranteed at this time.
If you do not have Visual Studio 2005 installed on your machine, you must install the Visual Studio 2005 Redistributables to run ImageTcl and ImageTclAR. These can be obtained at: Visual Studio 2005 Redistributables.
Installation instructions:
Unzip ImageTcl and ImageTclAR into suitable directories. Recommended: c:\ImageTcl and c:\ImageTclAR.
Ensure you have a suitable version of ActiveTcl installed on your system. Supported version is 8.4.13. An installer for ActiveTcl 8.4.13 is included in the ImageTcl\components directory.
Run the install.tcl script in the ImageTcl directory.
Run the install.tcl script in the ImageTclAR directory.
Here you will get the complete information about the Installation process:
