hello freinds
I need a home pc for 3d animation software (maya & max) and little gaming too. if any one can suggest
i have very less knowledge regararding compatiblity of processors and mother board with each other so need help in that too.
my range is Rs25000 for cpu

Now in 25000 Rupees I can tell you some of the better configurations for a computer.
Processor: Intel 2 Duo 2.5GHZ or above
Memory: 2GB or above (Usually 3GB would be better, but 2 will do)
(optional) Video Card: 256 or above is usually what people like.
Depending on what you are going to be doing and if you are going to keep it for yourself or not. The Operating System (OS) is up to you. This is pretty basic for a type of configuration, because you still have to get a motherboard, wires, etc. So, I would look around the Internet and make sure that you want to build one instead of making one.
The best config to fit your budget would be :
Intel Core2Duo 2.8Ghz
Gigabyte GA-G31M Motherboad
2GB RAM
500GB Hard Disk
Keyboard+Mouse
DVD-RW
17" CRT Monitor Samsung

i searched and found E8400 interesting but some comments wre like it is good for gaming point of view in comparison to animation software use.
but my main priority is for animation software(3D MAX & MAAYA).
also some said that for animation purpose duad core should be preffered.
my total budget is Rs35000 and for cpu box alone Rs 25000
i dont want to compromise in Cpu configuration may it be some Rs+/-.
