Can't access "My network places"

Hello everyone.

I have a small problem ... quite boring . It is impossible to access "My Network Places"-

In fact, almost systematically when trying to open it, I find myself with a blank window and then crash to stop and explore restart it.

Please help me.

Don't use network places. What happens when you just use the UNC path from something like explorer or the run dialog box?

1. check if file sharing is enabled.
2. check whether firewall block such a kind of sharing.

I think you should do a repair install, and first you should do a system restore to prior date when it was working.

Heres my advice :

First uninstall all items in network properties, such as TCP/IP etc
Uninstall your network card by going into Device Manager.

Power down the PC.
Remove the NIC
Power on the PC, and let it come to a stable state, say 2 minutes.
Power down the PC, reinstall the NIC, power on the PC.

This will force Windows to reload all Network related items and can take a few minutes. Once done test and let us know.
