Re: Cooling Q9650 quadcore
A Xigmatek get that in a little air and is very quiet. I have a s1283 on one E8400@4.55Ghz on air and a Q9550 which is cooled by an s1284. Both below 60 degrees and still stressed. For these results, I have a 2nd 120mm fan at 800rpm.
They are also well priced, reviews all around.
Re: Cooling Q9650 quadcore
The freezer pro is a bit poor for a Q9650 Quad .. idle, he was soon 45 degrees! perform worse than a cooler with back plate. I want my Q9650 idle 30 degrees, and stressed below 60 degrees ..
how do I fix what cooler? price does not matter
Re: Cooling Q9650 quadcore
I just read that my Q9650 max is 71 degrees. If he already idle 45 degrees, I do not know how much he is in stress mode! and still with a Freezer Pro 7!
I already have a list with coolers that I speak:
- Zalman 9700 NT
- Thermaltake MaxOrb
- Cooler Master V8
- Cooler Master Hyper 212
- Asus Ax Amazing Square
- Scythe Mugen 2
I am in general very good test results / read reviews, so I find it difficult to make a choice. I know I should not ask what to guess tomorrow I shall put my PC to alternate the choice and ensuring that everything is built unit (CPU Cooler & extra case fans)
