Gaming PC Configuration for GameCafe
Hi, I saw this was answered several time but it was early Jan 2009 and things may have changed now as far as pricing/config so is this re-question.
In my new GameCafe which would be non-ac but enough fans around would be having 10 gaming PC's built and I think this is config would work best and would attract gamers / students to the cafe. Budget would be around ~60K +- This system would be used for gaming and internet gaming only
Could you please comment on the config / softwares and any missing parts / better which should run most of the games available today and for next 3 years time. Idea here to host gaming tournment also once in a while so I'm perticular about config and get the mid level gaming computing as much as possible.
Please advice on some of the models like CPU, MB, etc...
Thanks

Re: Gaming PC Configuration for GameCafe
Is this config for 1 machine or for all the gaming machines in your cafe? The config is fairly good. With nVidea GFX8800, it is much better for most of the games. You can also go for some ATI Radeon card of 1GB memory which I think will serve more better.
Re: Gaming PC Configuration for GameCafe
Thanks david, driscoll,
This config would be for all 10 machines and we will have one admin/server machine with huge disk space to centralize all games and lan/internet connected. Games will not be stored locally disk may be we could these as backup or swap area. I wanted to go with single brand in each segment like MB/CPU with intel, Graphics with NVDA, so maintenance and debugging would be easier even to swap the cards when needed so I've not tought of mixing brands in some of the systems.
Q: What should be the broadband speed for these machine I should go for.
Thanks again.
