How to convert batch files
If you do digital photography for almost ten years, you probably have on your disk images in formats Fpx, Psp, Tiff, Pcd... All these formats become obsolete and no longer recognized by either the editing software or the Windows desktop or Windows Vista 7. The solution? Use IrfanView software and batch processes to convert all these old photos in JPG.

In addition to its editing features and slideshow, IrfanView offers a way to batch, which allows one click to convert or resize a photo collection.

Here's how to convert a set of photos to the old format Kodak FPX to JPEG photos (the method is very similar to convert images to other formats or to resize a series of snapshots):
1 - Run IrfanView
2 - In the File menu, click Batch conversion/rename
3 - Work as check Batch conversion
4 - Output Format, select the final format of your images is converted by format JPG-JPG/JPEG format
5 - Click on Options, place the cursor on Good (value 99 or 100) and click OK
6 - Check "Use advanced options for bulk service"
7 - Click on Advanced and in the section MISCELLANEOUS check all EXCEPT the box "Delete original files after conversion" (unless you want to delete the old files, in which case this box should be checked). Then click OK.
8 - In Look in, use the dropdown menu to indicate the root folder in which are housed the pictures to convert.
9 - In the dropdown menu Files of type, select the source of your photos, ie in our example format FPX - FlashPix Format.
10 - In "Output directory for result files", click the Look In Use current Directory if you want to save the converted files in the same folders and subfolders that the original photos (otherwise, use the Browse button to specify another destination).
11 - Check the "Include subdirectories (Add for All)" to tell the software to explore the sub-folders.
12 - Click on Add All
13 - Click the Start button to start the batch conversion of all your photos in one go.
