DNS forwarding on Cisco 876 Router IP
Hello,
I have a Cisco 876 now successfully configured into Internet and VPN (Easy VPN) Only one problem remains: What records must be made to the DNS requests from the client locale on the Local LAN address of the router to forward?with a record of a public DNS address in the client PC does everything naturally.

Hi,
is not further complicated. If you have not done in the Dialer Interface
Code:
ppp IPCP dns request accept
Register so that the router at each dial the current DNS server receives from the provider. Then just in the global config mode.
Enter and the router should be on the requests of your clients respond. Now you could be on the dialer still block incoming DNS so the DNS server on your LAN needs to respond.

Hi,
"Well you could be on the dialer still block incoming DNS so the DNS server on your LAN needs to respond."
Re: DNS forwarding on Cisco 876 Router IP
You create with
code:
Code:
ip access-group in <name>
on the dialer.
At best you look just which ports on your router are open. There are a number of websites, they scan port.
