Follow the steps below to add profiles to Outlook 2007.
- Click the Start menu, click Settings then Control Panel.
- Double-Click the Mail icon.
- Select Show Profiles.
- Click Add.
- Name your new profile then click OK.
- Outlook 2003 multiple profiles setup screenshot2
- Click Check the box next to Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Click Next.
- Click Microsoft Exchange and click next.
- Where it says Microsoft Exchange Server type exchange.uconn.edu. Where it says user name type your NETID. Then click check name. You will be promted to log in with the username of uconn\NetID (eg. uconn\abc04004) and your Exchange/Active Directory password (unless you've been added to the Active Directory).
- The account setup will then resolve to look like this. Click Next.
- Last click Finish.
Outlook 2007 is now setup with multiple profiles.
Only one login to the computer, but two different Outlook profiles, one for each account and each with it's own .PST storage file. Note that you can have both .PST files available in each Outlook profile, one will be the default delivery location t for one profile, the other the default for the second profile. This way, email will always go to the correct .PST, but both are availble for reference.
