System can no longer overclock
hi,
my system ran without problems with 2.98 GHZ, I have raised Vcore (55-60 degrees). Absolutely stable without the crash. I have the FSB of 266 at 375 increased (by BIOS).the system ran with a standard clock (with no crashes or similar). Since I can not raise the FSB. That means the BIOS can I do that (PC starts normally) but in the windows operation, the system runs at 266 MHZ. The same if I try using Easy Tune.
Re: System can no longer overclock
hi,
first update the BIOS and remove the bios battery was usually the solution.
Re: System can no longer overclock
A bios setting must have changed. When you were overclocking your processor, what mhz was your ram running? I have a feeling this setting changed and when you attempt to overclock, your automatically overclocking your ram also. Check the ratio. If your running your ram much higher than its rated it will fail. Also make sure you ram voltage is set to whatever the manufacturer of the memory suggests.

hi,
There would be a setting under 'Advanced Chipset' or something of that nature that would allow you to change the FSB. Upping the FSB would cause it to run hotter, that's why you have to up the voltage sometimes as well.
