Probleme display menu bar OpenOffice & AMSN
Hello everyone,
Tired of formatting string in the PC of my beautiful family, I've converted to Ubuntu last weekend with Intrepid. It proves that a small problem and not least: Toolbars OpenOffice and AMSN is not displayed, is a single gray rectangle.
A little bundle to go even when its record files or add contacts without knowing the keyboard shortcuts. The only solution and will set the rectangle, and the scroller with the scroll wheel, and magic for 10ms we can see the menu.
I do not really understand from where comes the problem, the system is updated, the theme is the default and mostly I do not have this problem with Nautilus or Firefox for example.
Have you any idea what is wrong?
Re: Probleme display menu bar OpenOffice & AMSN
It appears that problem of manager window or something like that (I'm just a beginner: p).
In fact when I go in appearance: None I found my menus in OpenOffice

Everything under the kde desktop will open at the resolution of the desktop--are you sure about the resolution and frequency settings of the monitor (+video card)??
Does everything else in K icon>Run Programs>Office>
work, like the spreadsheet and the Presentation apps
--also check the view setting in OpenOffice Writer, under Tools>Options
--as well as the general view settings in the main menu OpenOffice.org, under the Tools>options menu item, when you have started the Word processor (writer) application!
--checking for view, icon style & Size

this solved my problem solved my problem.
Under Tools > Options >
Openoffice.org - View
I changed Scaling from 100% to 85% and everything in Writer renders
correctly now. Menubars scaled down as well as all the dialogs.
