Re: Gnome menu has disappeared under mandriva 2008
Hi
Alt+F2 should bring up the run command box, much like Start->Run on Windows. Press ALT+F2 and in the pop up box, type gnome-terminal and hit enter.
When the terminal opens up, type these three commands in.
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/panel
killall gnome-panel
gnome-panel &
Hope this helps.
Re: Gnome menu has disappeared under mandriva 2008
Hi,
I am not a specialist Mandriva, but I think you have a problem of window decorations (the problem with 3D cube interface for example?) You must use the Metacity window manager (the default in Gnome).
Re: Gnome menu has disappeared under mandriva 2008
Thank you for your help
I disabled the 3D effects and is ineffective. For metacity I tried to reinstall and I installed the package gnome-python-metacity, it does nothing.
But i solved my problem, for those who have the same problem:
My gnome-panel package was uninstalled. installation (drakrpm type in the console) and its execution in the console to any resolution.
