How to install Vista without losing my data ?
Windows unbootable, I discovered that the partition (: C) on which Vista was installed became unusable. I therefore wish to reinstall Vista on the partition containing my personal datas (: D).
Is it possible to install Vista on that partition (: D) but I lose the documents that are above and which are absolutely essential for my job?

If you are using a recovery DVD or CD then it will wipe all your files off the drive and reinstall Windows just like it was when you bought the computer. A normal Vista DVD will let you do a repair install. The upgrade DVD does not have this feature so you will need a retail DVD.
I would take a look at this website on how to repair without losing any data.
