Sort contacts in windows live messenger

Hello there,
I am new to windows live messenger. Can anyone tell me how to sort contacts or contact lists in windows live messenger?

Any help will be appreciated.

You can customize your contact list by clicking the button on the main Windows Live Messenger window immediately to the right of the "Add contact" button. Which has the green colored + sign on it.

To sort contacts, press Menu and select Sort By => Online. You can choose to display your contacts by Display Name or Email Address. The default display is by email address. To change the display, press Menu and select View Contacts By => Display Name or Email Address.

Follow these simple steps to sort your contacts:

• Go to tools
• Click on Options
• Select layout

There you you will see the "Organize contacts by:". Select the category from the drop down menu.
