Cleaning Heatsink and CPU
Hey hey, what you just said there? ;)
I just bought a new cooler and some cooling paste.
Cooler - XIGMATEK HDT-S1283
Thermal paste - Arctic Silver Ceramique Premium High-Density Thermal Compound.
So my question is how and with what product to clean my new Heatsinks and cpu.
Re: Cleaning Heatsink and CPU
You can use a piece of plastic to scrape the largest part of the old cooling paste away. Have heard that people use their duster
To clean away the last vestiges I recommend, among other things, isopropyl alcohol. It is also what other people use, though plain. Household spirits can also do it. It is also said that the isopropyl alcohol can be bought cheaply... maybe.
Re: Cleaning Heatsink and CPU
Furthermore, I recommend NOT to spread the paste out. Just put a tiny dollop and then put heat sink and apply pressure. It may be because we use.. but I recommend not .. heh.
Re: Cleaning Heatsink and CPU
Hey...
Has anyone had experience with real temp 3.0?
In consequence it is my idle temp of 10-20. Can it really fit?
If I reboot and go into the bios says it is 3x degrees
If the real temp is not a good / useful programs, are there any which have
a link or name of another I can use instead?
Re: Cleaning Heatsink and CPU
That is certainly not. It is an air cooler. You could never get the CPU cooler than the room temperature (this is known in the physics and such). And doubt you have the pc in room temperature or in a cold place! So that probably 3x fits better. Speedfan can be used to see temperatures with.
